Guaria de Osa harbors rare ethnobotanicals and a collection of endangered indigenous medicinal plants.

GUARIA de OSA RETREAT CENTRE serves the global community of teachers and facilitators who wish to hold their own creative workshops and retreats, ocean and rainforest discovery on the OSA PENINSULA of COSTA RICA. Guaria de Osa is a splendid and spacious location for Yoga, Dao-In, Tai Chi, Capoeira, Music and Dance; surfing, scuba diving, bird-watching, star-gazing, hiking, kayaking; ethnobotanical and permaculture events; for writers and photographers; high school and university field trips; weddings and family reunions; meetings and conferences.

We also hold our native sojourns, Sentient Experientials hosted by a staff of ethnobotanists, herbologists, expert guides, and legendary guest cultural masters. Our program of activities, entitled "Nature as Teacher, Traditional Wisdom, and Rainforest Conservation Strategies" is a deep forest, oceanic and intercultural sojourn beholding the majesty of the primary Rainforest and the pristine Pacific Ocean; an experience that brings you to the highlighted features and varied eco-systems of the Osa Peninsula - and more!
