An amazing yoga experience on every level!

I traveled to NYI in 2010, following in the footsteps of a few amazing yogi(ni)s from studios close to home. The experience was profound and exceeded every idea I had about what my teacher training might be like. Don, Amba, and the collection of educators at the institute are inspiring, teaching from their own experience and guiding each student on their own individual journey. When it came time to teach my own class, I felt as though I had been teaching my whole life - I left with all of the necessary tools to continue growing my own practice and to inspire my students in the way that NYI inspired me. The many lessons instilled in me through my training pop into my head from time to time and I can't help but smile. Whether I hear Don's voice as he imparts wisdom, or Amba's unbounded whitty remarks, I know that I'll make my way back to Nosara in the future to absorb more of what the beautiful people and atmosphere have to offer.

My first time to NYI was in 2005. I was more than impressed by the level of experience that lay before me. Don and Amba (and Ann Hunt-senior faculty) all teach from their authentic self and from a place of great passion for what they do. I felt like they were there on the journey with ME every step of the way. The grounds of the NYI campus are pristine and alive with energy. I have fallen in love with this part of the world and the people that live in Nosara. My first experience there was so profound I have returned every year since. The Nosara Yoga Institute is the most well rounded, loving, educational, professional, and PRANA filled school you will come across. But don't just take my word, go there- sign up for a training and you will see... you will expand and grow beyond your own belief. Namaste!
